Soilsafe Aotearoa have begun our soil classroom sessions at St Heliers Primary School in Auckland. Members of our team visited the school to offer classrooms an experience to learn even more about soil. Our interactive presentations, and hands-on science activities helped share ideas about soil with the kids and link it back to their own ideas and experiences. The demonstration of using an auger to collect soil samples was a real hit as well.
We will be continuing our classroom sessions so keep an eye out for more events. If you are a teacher interested in bringing more soil into the classroom then let us know!
