Now that Moss has communicated results back to all of the community gardens and māra that have been part of the Harvestsafe study, we can communicate the results to the public.
We know that community gardens are important contributors to food security, public health, and environmental resilience amongst other things. Trace elemental pollution in soil is a significant challenge facing urban agriculture and is poorly understood in Aotearoa. Moss’ project aimed to work on this.
Thank you to Moss for undertaking this excellent project. A year of hard work, and some very interesting results.
